The range of services that can be integrated as part of a package include:
Contractor Logistic Support and Contracting For Availability; Echo and Enterprise, Three River Class Vessels, HMS Clyde and more recently we have a Contractor Logistic support agreement with The Rebublic of Trinidad and Tobago to support them in the operation of their three Offshore Patrol Vessels.
BVT's Technical Services include support for all phases of a vessel's life cycle, from naval architecture through to weapon systems and mechanical, electrical and constructive engineering. BVT is a member of the UK Design Support Alliance and is the prime contractor for the Design Support Consortium and Auxiliary Design Assistance Programme. The company also provides C5I (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Combat and Information) systems support to the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary for the fitting of new and improved equipment.
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) packages typically include Project Management, Data Management and Technical Documentation, Maintenance Management and Supply Support for new and existing vessels
BVT's Supply Chain Management team is made up of spares and repairs procurement specialists who provide a comprehensive service for a wide range of Naval & Marine customers through utilising existing relationships and service level agreements with an extensive portfolio of ships suppliers, equipment and systems suppliers from around the world.
Training Solutions Management, which is the development and compilation of training solutions based on an analysis of the needs of the ship's company to operate and maintain the ship's special to type systems and equipment. Training ranges from ship system to on-the-job training
BVT has a worldwide reach and presence with strategic links that can facilitate, manage and deliver warship maintenance and repair from facilities in the UK. The extensive and highly skilled workforce and comprehensive on-site facilities enables a breadth of capability that our commercial customers seek and depend on.
BVT operates ship upgrade and disposal facilities and currently has an enabling contract with the UK Disposal Services Agency to market and act as prime contractor for the reactivation, upgrade and modernisation of complex warships for Government to Government contracts.
Financial Arrangements; BVT has a strong track record in developing an innovative approach to contract financing including the provision of leasing and deferred payment arrangements including Private Finance Initiatives and leasing options for ships and services. Existing arrangements include a five-year leasing deal with the UK MOD for three Fishery Protection Vessels in addition to a new lease arrangement for an Offshore Patrol Vessel with options to extend or purchase at the end of the lease period.
